How AI and Emerging Technologies Are Reshaping Anti-Piracy Enforcement
Alesandro Gonçalves Barreto é Delegado de Polícia Civil do Estado do Piauí, professor e um dos maiores especialistas do país em inteligência cibernética e investigação digital. Foi Coordenador do Laboratório de Operações Cibernéticas (CIBERLAB) da Secretaria Nacional de Segurança Pública (SENASP/MJSP) no Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública entre 2017 e 2025. Graduado pela Universidade Regional do Cariri e pós-graduado em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI), possui vasta experiência no combate a crimes virtuais, cibercrime e inteligência policial em fontes abertas. É autor e coautor de diversas obras de referência na literatura jurídica nacional, tais como Manual de Investigação Cibernética, Investigação Digital em Fontes Abertas, Deep Web e Vingança Digital. É docente do Gran Cursos/Gran Faculdade e da Academia de Polícia, ministrando cursos sobre técnicas de investigação em meio digital para magistrados, promotores e policiais em todo o Brasil e no exterior.
Alesandro Gonçalves Barreto is a Civil Police Chief in the State of Piauí, a professor, and one of Brazil’s leading experts in cyber intelligence and digital investigations. From 2017 to 2025, he served as Coordinator of the Cyber Operations Laboratory (CIBERLAB) of the National Secretariat of Public Security (SENASP/MJSP) within the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. He holds a degree from the Regional University of Cariri and a postgraduate degree in Law from the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), and has extensive experience in combating cybercrime, investigating online offenses, and law-enforcement intelligence based on open sources. He is the author and co-author of several leading works in Brazilian legal literature, including Manual de Investigação Cibernética, Investigação Digital em Fontes Abertas, Deep Web and Vingança Digital. He teaches at Gran Cursos/Gran Faculdade and the Police Academy, delivering courses on digital investigation techniques to judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers throughout Brazil and abroad.

Graduada em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), possui pós-graduação em Propriedade Intelectual pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) e mestrado em Regulamentação de Mídia e Plataformas de Streaming pela Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa.

Raquel Corrêa Barros é sócia do Kasznar Leonardos e Co-Head das áreas de Antipirataria & Brand Protection. Especialista em proteção e enforcement de direitos de propriedade intelectual, atua na definição e coordenação de estratégias complexas de combate à pirataria, repressão ao mercado ilegal e proteção de marcas, assessorando empresas nacionais e internacionais de diversos setores econômicos.
Com sólida formação em propriedade intelectual, investigação digital e inteligência aplicada à obtenção de provas, desenvolve projetos que integram tecnologia, estratégia jurídica e atuação investigativa para a proteção de ativos intangíveis em ambientes físicos e digitais. É pós-graduada em Direito Penal e Processo Penal, pela Faculdade Damásio de Jesus, em Propriedade Intelectual e Novos Negócios, pela Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), e em Investigação Digital, pela Faculdade Vincit.
Além da atuação profissional, participa ativamente de iniciativas voltadas ao fortalecimento do sistema de proteção da propriedade intelectual no Brasil, mantendo interlocução constante com autoridades, órgãos de repressão, entidades regulatórias e associações setoriais. É coordenadora adjunta da Comissão de Repressão a Infrações da ABPI nos biênios 2024-2025 e 2026-2028 e participa ativamente de debates regulatórios, iniciativas de capacitação de autoridades e projetos voltados ao aprimoramento dos mecanismos de proteção da propriedade intelectual.
Raquel Corrêa Barros is a partner at Kasznar Leonardos and Co-Head of the firm’s Anti-Piracy and Brand Protection practices. She specializes in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, advising Brazilian and international companies across a wide range of industries on the development and coordination of complex strategies to combat piracy, address illegal markets, and protect brands.
With a strong background in intellectual property, digital investigations, and intelligence applied to evidence gathering, she develops projects that combine technology, legal strategy, and investigative work to protect intangible assets in both physical and digital environments. She holds postgraduate degrees in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure from Faculdade Damásio de Jesus, in Intellectual Property and New Business from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), and in Digital Investigation from Faculdade Vincit.
In addition to her professional practice, Raquel is actively engaged in initiatives aimed at strengthening the intellectual property protection system in Brazil, maintaining ongoing dialogue with authorities, enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. She serves as Deputy Coordinator of ABPI’s Committee on Enforcement Against Infringements for the 2024–2025 and 2026–2028 terms, and actively participates in regulatory discussions, capacity-building initiatives for authorities, and projects focused on improving intellectual property protection mechanisms.
