Jorge Raimundo é Sócio do BRZ Advogados, na área de Life Sciences, formado pela Faculdade Nacional de Direito da Universidade do Brasil. Possui cursos de especialização em gestão e marketing realizados no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos.

Atuou por mais de 40 anos na indústria farmacêutica, tendo ocupado posições de liderança na Glaxo, Glaxo Wellcome e GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), incluindo cargos executivos para a América Latina e participação no Comitê Executivo Global da Glaxo, em Londres. Antes de ingressar na Glaxo, atuou em empresas como Pfizer, Beecham e Bristol, além de ter sido sócio-diretor da Darrow e fundador da Dover Farmacêutica.

É autor de diversos trabalhos publicados no Brasil e no exterior sobre a indústria farmacêutica. Foi Presidente e fundador da Interfarma, quando se dedicou à criação da Lei de Propriedade Industrial.

Após sua aposentadoria da GSK, em 2001, passou a integrar conselhos consultivos e entidades ligadas à indústria farmacêutica, propriedade intelectual e ética concorrencial (ABPI, FIRJAN, ETCO e SINFAR).

Recebeu importantes homenagens, incluindo o título de Benemérito da Academia Nacional de Medicina (ANM), a condecoração de Membro da Ordem do Império Britânico (OBE), concedida pela Rainha da Inglaterra, a Medalha do Mérito Industrial da FIRJAN, do Mérito Industrial Farmacêutico do SINDUSFARMA e a Medalha Sobral Pinto da OAB.

Jorge Raimundo is a Partner in the Life Sciences practice at BRZ Advogados. He holds a law degree from the National Law School of the University of Brazil and has completed specialization courses in management and marketing in Brazil and the United States.

He worked for more than 40 years in the pharmaceutical industry, holding leadership positions at Glaxo, Glaxo Wellcome, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), including executive roles for Latin America and membership in Glaxo’s Global Executive Committee in London. Before joining Glaxo, he worked at companies such as Pfizer, Beecham, and Bristol, and was also Managing Partner of Darrow and founder of Dover Farmacêutica.

He is the author of several papers published in Brazil and abroad on the pharmaceutical industry. He was the founder and President of Interfarma, during which time he was actively involved in the development of Brazil’s Industrial Property Law.

After retiring from GSK in 2001, he joined advisory boards and organizations connected to the pharmaceutical industry, intellectual property, and competitive ethics, including ABPI, FIRJAN, ETCO, and SINFAR.

He has received several important honors, including the title of Benefactor of the National Academy of Medicine (ANM); the distinction of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), conferred by the Queen of England; FIRJAN’s Industrial Merit Medal; SINDUSFARMA’s Pharmaceutical Industrial Merit Medal; and the Sobral Pinto Medal from the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
