Marcos Motta é sócio-fundador do escritório Bichara e Motta Advogados e uma das maiores referências internacionais em Direito Desportivo e do Entretenimento. Sua trajetória no esporte teve início em 1997, atuando como Diretor e Representante Internacional do Clube de Regatas Flamengo, instituição onde assumiu a Vice-Presidência de Administração. Ao longo de mais de duas décadas de carreira, atuou como consultor jurídico em centenas de arbitragens e negociações de transferência perante tribunais nacionais e internacionais, assessorando atletas de elite, clubes, federações e grandes nomes da indústria do entretenimento e do audiovisual. Participou ativamente do grupo de trabalho do Governo Brasileiro para a revisão da Lei Pelé em 2008, do FIFA Working Group para a regulamentação do TPO (Third-Party Ownership) e integrou a Comissão Jurídica do Senado Federal responsável pela elaboração do Anteprojeto da Lei Geral do Esporte. Academicamente, possui Mestrado (LL.M.) em Direito Econômico Internacional pela University of Warwick (Inglaterra), Mestrado Honoris Causa em Direito Desportivo Internacional pelo ISDE (Espanha) e Certificado em Negociação e Liderança pela Harvard Law School. É docente e palestrante em prestigiadas instituições globais como FIFA, LaLiga, Real Madrid e ESADE. É constantemente reconhecido em rankings jurídicos de prestígio, como Chambers & Partners, Leaders League e Who’s Who Legal, sendo eleito Líder Pensador (Thought Leader) global em sua área de atuação.
Marcos Motta is a founding partner of Bichara e Motta Advogados and one of the leading international authorities in Sports and Entertainment Law. His career in sports began in 1997, when he served as Director and International Representative of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, where he later became Vice-President for Administration. Over more than two decades, he has acted as legal counsel in hundreds of arbitration proceedings and transfer negotiations before national and international tribunals, advising elite athletes, clubs, federations, and major players in the entertainment and audiovisual industries. He participated in the Brazilian Government working group responsible for reviewing the Pelé Law in 2008, the FIFA Working Group on the regulation of Third-Party Ownership (TPO), and the Federal Senate Legal Commission responsible for drafting the preliminary bill for Brazil’s General Sports Law. Academically, he holds an LL.M. in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), an Honorary Master’s Degree in International Sports Law from ISDE (Spain), and a Certificate in Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Law School. He is a lecturer and speaker at renowned global institutions, including FIFA, LaLiga, Real Madrid, and ESADE. He is consistently recognized by leading legal rankings such as Chambers & Partners, Leaders League, and Who’s Who Legal, and has been named a global Thought Leader in his field.

Patrick Lopes é Managing Director da área de Sportainment na consultoria global Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), sediado em São Paulo. Com ampla bagagem em finanças corporativas, investment banking e equity research, especializou-se em reestruturação operacional, consultoria de gestão estratégica e fortalecimento financeiro para organizações do ecossistema de esportes, entretenimento, e-sports, iGaming e parques temáticos. Na A&M, lidera projetos voltados para a otimização de DREs, reestruturação do passivo e governança para clubes de futebol, ligas, federações e empresas de mídia, tendo atuado também como executivo interino (CFO e Chief Restructuring Officer – CRO) em diversos processos de turnaround corporativo em diferentes países da América do Sul. Anteriormente, atuou como sócio e analista de investimentos em fundo de hedge no Brasil e integrou boutique internacional de investment banking especializada em fusões e aquisições (M&A). Em sua formação acadêmica, é bacharel em Ciências Econômicas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) e possui extensão executiva em Finanças pelo Instituto COPPEAD de Administração da UFRJ. Sua atuação combina análise financeira rigorosa e governança de alta complexidade no setor de esporte e entretenimento.
Patrick Lopes is Managing Director of the Sportainment practice at global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), based in São Paulo. With extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and equity research, he specializes in operational restructuring, strategic management consulting, and financial strengthening for organizations in the sports, entertainment, e-sports, iGaming, and theme park sectors. At A&M, he leads projects focused on P&L optimization, debt restructuring, and governance for football clubs, leagues, federations, and media companies. He has also served as interim executive, including as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), in several corporate turnaround processes across South America. Previously, he worked as a partner and investment analyst at a hedge fund in Brazil and at an international investment banking boutique specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and completed an executive extension program in Finance at UFRJ’s COPPEAD Graduate School of Business. His work combines rigorous financial analysis with complex governance expertise in the sports and entertainment industry.
