The Global Meeting on Innovation and Intellectual Property – ABPI 2026 has been expanded and this year will feature topics divided into three arenas:

Participants will also be able to take part in experiences such as the Innovation Hub, Executive Networking Lounge, and Sunset Networking Party.

All of this is designed to make the Global Meeting a platform for dialogue between innovation, Intellectual Property, technology, and business.

Each arena will feature a variety of activities, such as Professional Insight sessions — presented as TEDx-style talks — expert panels, technology demonstrations, and innovation pitches, providing a rich environment for idea exchange and networking, and will have the following format:

A space where the future of innovation takes shape, designed for those who want to understand emerging technologies.

It brings together discussions on technological transformations that are redefining the innovation landscape on a global scale.

This is an environment dedicated to reflecting on technological advances, their implications for the knowledge economy, and the new challenges that arise at the intersection of technology, creativity, and Intellectual Property.

Where ideas turn into opportunities. This space will connect different players in the innovation ecosystem — entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and Intellectual Property specialists.

This environment has been designed to foster dialogue between creativity, technological development, and economic value creation, bringing Intellectual Property closer to the dynamics of entrepreneurship and the development of new businesses.

Where Intellectual Property meets strategy. This arena will address Intellectual Property as a central element in the knowledge-based economy.

It is an environment focused on strategic reflections on the role of IP in value creation, business competitiveness, and the structuring of business models.

Here, Intellectual Property will be treated as a strategic asset that connects innovation, market, and economic development.

The meeting point for innovation within the event. Innovation as a driver of business is a structural pillar of the Congress, and the Innovation Hub will be a space dedicated to interaction among different players in the innovation ecosystem. Companies, startups, experts, and investors will find here Business First, an environment conducive to exchanging ideas, presenting projects, and building new connections.
Dynamic and collaborative, the Hub represents the most experimental and interactive side of the event.

An exclusive environment for strategic connections, designed for high-level networking among leaders, speakers, sponsors, and invited participants.

With a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere, and continuous catering, the lounge will encourage informal meetings, strategic conversations, and the strengthening of institutional relationships.

The space will offer continuous catering throughout the day, providing a pleasant setting for breaks, meetings, and interactions.

It will be the ideal environment to turn meetings into opportunities.

The traditional event hosted by ABPI’s international sponsors. It will be the official celebration of the Global Meeting, bringing together participants, speakers, and sponsors in a relaxed atmosphere. This year, the Sunset Networking Party will take place on Monday, August 17, at 5:30 PM, at the event venue itself, the Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort, in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro.
